January 30th, 2012 - European Championships
Head instructor Raphael Dos Santos returns to the UK with his third European title at the IBJJF European Championships in Lisbon. Raphael won his first and second fights against Cristiano Carvalho and Helio Perdigao to finally face Vugner Siva in the finals.
Dan Lawson and Mark Bauer also attended the event with Raphael, Mark put up a great fight but unfortunately lost his first round. Dan went onto to win his first fight with a cross lapel choke from closed guard, his second match was very close and lost due to referrees decision.

September 18th, 2011 - Switzerland Championships
Raphael Dos Santos (Cornwall BJJ head instructor) has achieved his second European title, winning gold in the FHJJS European Championships.
July 16th, 2011 - Latest results from Brazil
Our affiliated academy in Brazil returns from competiton (Balneário camboriu open de jiu-jitsu III Etapa do Catarinense) with the following results:
- Bruno luiz Coelho (Lightweight / white belt) - GOLD
- Brayan Perez (Featherweight / blue belt) - BRONZE
- Gean Valendolf (Featherweather / white belt) - BRONZE
- Anderson Pereira (Lightweight - brown belt) - BRONZE
July 3rd, 2011 - Hereford Whitebelts
Congratulations to Claire, Kath, Emma and Mark at Project Mayhem today at the Hereford Whitebelt Only competition.
- Claire won gold and then silver in the absolute
- Kath won silver
- Emma won bronze in the absolute
- Mark won his first fight, unfortunately he injured his thumb during the fight, but did get through to the final.
June 18th, 2011 - Bournemouth Open Results
GB Cornwall (Raphael Dos Santos team) returned with a total of 12 medals: 2 golds, 4 silvers and 6 bronzes - making GB Cornwall ranked 5th out of 39 other teams that competed at Bournemouth.
Gold medals went to Andy Costello (Project Mayhem) and Dean Aplin (Exeter BJJ)
Silver medals went to Tim Lukes (Cornwall BJJ), Matthew Barrett (Cornwall BJJ), Clint Hosking (Cornwall BJJ) and Tony Newmann (Cornwall BJJ)
Bronze medals went to Katherine Rix (Exeter BJJ), Harley S (Cornwall BJJ), Mason W (Cornwall BJJ), Adam Sankey (Cornwall BJJ), Martin Saunders (Exeter BJJ) and Luke Stevens (Cornwall BJJ).
Well done to all those that stood up to fight and congratulations to all medalists!
May 28th, 2011 - UMA White Belts Only Results
The Raphael Dos Santos, Cornwall BJJ team branch in Plymouth (Danny Macmillan) saw great success at the UMA Open Gi BJJ competition in Stoke on Trent with Harry Mcleman bringing back gold in the adult middle heavy category, Tommy Critchley brought home a silver in the light juvenile category and Jamie Reynolds achieved bronze in the adult feather category.
April 2011 - Success at the British Open Championships!
Raphael brings silver and bronze from the British Open Championships
Being the lightest one in the black belt open class, he shares the podium with some of the best - including Victor Estima
Danny Macmillan from our Plymouth branch also achieved gold in the purple belt medium heavy weight category, accompanied by Raphael. Danny Macmillan is the instructor at the Macmillan Martial Arts Academy based in Plymouth.

Februay 2011 - Cornish team achieve gold, silver and bronze at Bristol Championships
Sam Gill, Martin Mcraith and Mark Rowlett get gold, Karol Stodolski silver; Matt Barett and Kevin Doherty get bronze at the UK Premier BJJ Championships in Bristol.

January 2011 - Great results from the European Championships in Lisbon!
The team brings 5 medals from the IBJJF Championships in Lisbon, Portugal. Both our instructors, Raphael Dos Santos and Tim Lukes achieved Gold
